Housing and Intergenerational Community Facilities

Nás na Riogh Housing Association (NNRHA) is a voluntary, not-for-profit group with charitable status, affiliated to the Irish Council for Social Housing. Our project at McAuley Place, Naas, Co. Kildare comprises three developments in the heart of the town:
McAuley Place is creating incredible opportunities to volunteer locally and in this way is enabling active citizenship. We value volunteers as individuals who bring a unique contribution to the group and the community with whom they work.
VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED FOR “THE CONVENT TEA ROOMS”
“The Convent Tea Rooms” is located in the former Mercy Convent Building, now called McAuley Place, beside the Church of our Lady and St. David on the Sallin’s Road, Naas. This is a further exciting part of the Nás na Ríogh Housing Association Complex and will open for business in mid to late February. It will be run mainly by Volunteers under the guidance of our Chef/Manager. We are now seeking additional Volunteers to join us in this unique venture. Hours required will be approximately 4 hours per week.
“The Convent Tea Rooms” will serve homemade breads, scones, cakes, pastries and a variety of savoury dishes, as well as freshly ground coffee and different blends of tea. We also offer freshly pressed juices. We use free range eggs for all our cooking and baking. We use organic and locally grown produce. None of our food is genetically modified. We cater for a variety of tastes and diets including vegetarian and coeliac. Our soups, salads, main courses, breads and desserts are made in-house by our chef.
Experience is not necessary as we will provide in-house HACCP and Health and Safety training as is mandatory.
